How all the cogs have been rotating in our little fashion platform factory.
Welcome to our first endeavor to illuminate the inner workings of KURB. What better time to spill out the guts of our operations than after the rebrand. Scroll along to check out what we’ve busied ourselves with this month!
Most radically of all, we completely overhauled the project into something that more thoroughly captures our vision for the future of fashion. This included a massive revision of the brand as a whole alongside a wholesale renovation of the website. We implemented a login feature, allowing you to synchronise your Favorited items and Pre-set Filter configurations across devices through a single account. Additionally, we implemented a drops feature where all the latest drops from your favorite independent vendors are available through a single button. Feel free to click around and through for yourself!

We had our first foray into collaborating in the online resale space with Dr. Princess Vintage. You can get a glimpse of the material we produced by cycling through our new landing page. This is the first of many projects where we hope to platform independent creators in the online fashion space, so look forward to that over the coming months.

Big shoutout to Martina for researching the in’s and out’s of Life Cycle Assessment methodologies in online fashion resale. How fashion vendors communicate their environmental due diligence has always been a bit of a black-box for me, but her case study comparing the processes of the biggest players really laid it all out. Give it a read and hopefully big “mumbo-jumbo” will become a bit less mumbo and a bit more jumbo.

As is our speciality here at KURB we love improving the platform in response to your feedback. We added over 15 new brands to the search engine this month, such as Anrealage, Cav Empt, Flash Royal, Nanamica, Nepenthes, Nonnative. On top of which we have added over 10 independent vendors including Brother_LDN, Garment Service, M1 LAB, Nine Lives Archive, Odyssey Rebuild, Un-Natural Selection and many more. If there are other brands and vendors you’d like to see please let us know through our Discord (where we conveniently have a notification system set-up for 50 of our favourite brands”).
Here at KURB we like to pretend we have some sort of “jean-es-see-kwaa” and what better way to fool ourselves than by setting up a little Spotify playlist of the month. There isn’t much of a theme beyond what we think is rad as hell. Hopefully you might be convinced of that too, or at least take pity on us.
That wraps up this month of updates. The coming month is looking like a whacky ride of new collaborations, online resale content forms and peculiarities divined by the bowels of the KURB squad. The best way to stay tuned in with whatever we’re doing is through our Discord, Instagram and Website!
Hope the month ahead keeps month aheading.
Keep finding great pieces.
