Rest assured we are not going evil corporate mode just yet, though there will be critical changes to our core technology for the better. KURB has been up and running for over a year now, with major features laced between incremental daily improvements. Through these efforts and your feedback we have successfully constructed the most comprehensive and efficient secondhand designer search platform. Though the KURB technology is exceptional, that is not our core distinction, it’s our self-destructive belief in enabling you as much power as possible when searching for secondhand designer clothing.

The standard practice for any aggregator is to offer you the illusion of free search while in practice only showing you what they want you to see i.e. listings from their business affiliates so they can collect an affiliate fee. KURB is radically different in that we, against all business logic, believe in serving you as best we can at the cost of any affiliate returns. We do that because of our paralytic fascination, unconditional love and unwavering commitment to the secondhand designer ecosystem. Fortunately many of you have supported this effort through KURB Pro. 

KURB Pro was created for the enthusiast, the person whose eyes were fixed on scanning the flux of new designer clothing as it enters the market almost on a minutely basis. It offered an advantage for those who wanted the same tailor made market surveillance without having to be glued to the KURB feed. Though something did not sit right with gating this additional power behind a paywall (as measly as it was) so we spent months scrutinizing how we could equalize the playing field without gutting our only source of revenue. The market is evolving and now it’s time we also adapt KURB Pro to ensure we can keep KURB for everyone.

After considerable internal discussion we’re reinventing the KURB Pro system to better serve everyone. The KURB Credit system will enable any user to access previously Pro locked features. Features like search notifications, price monitoring, item Appraisal as well as many forthcoming features will all be accessible in exchange for Credits. Credits will systematically replenish on a daily basis depending on when they were first used since being last replenished.  The daily KURB Credit budgets as follows:

• Free: 20 daily Credits

• Pro: 400 daily Credits

• Enterprise: generous volume of credits TBD

These daily Credit budgets are all subject to change depending on our ongoing analysis of the community’s needs. By doing this we can give everyone access to the full KURB feature range while enabling us to better sustain the project.

Lastly, the most up-to-date feed results will be controlled by KURBO Mode. While this mode is active you will have unrestricted access to all the newest listings at the cost of a Credit for every batch of items that has at least one item added within the last 24 hours. This means that when KURBO Mode is deactivated items added within the last 24 hours are hidden. To most strategically use your Credits we advise tweaking your filters to ensure they're only consumed on relevant results for you. We will continue to analyse the userbase's usage and actively tweak the system to avoid disrupting your existing search experience while also enabling you access to everything KURB can offer. This change was necessary for us to offer everyone extensive access to KURB’s features and keep KURB afloat.
