Rare Masaki Matsushima Homme AW97 “Cut & Replace Mannequin” blazer , built around the collection’s concept of cutting apart and replacing sections of the mannequin/body . The blazer is constructed through a striking grid of precisely divided panels across the body, with the tan main body contrasted against dark brown pinstriped sleeves . The transitions are deliberately left raw and frayed, emphasising the idea of sections being removed and replaced rather than traditionally tailored together. The result is an unusually graphic, almost anatomical construction, with the contrasting sleeve fabric appearing as though it has been inserted into the existing garment.
