Carol Christian Poell Object-Dyed Kangaroo Leather Conjoined-Finger Gloves

Carol Christian Poell Object-Dyed Kangaroo Leather Conjoined-Finger Gloves

Rare Carol Christian Poell gloves crafted from supple kangaroo leather, finished in an irregular, muted olive-grey tone with darker shading across the creased surface. Anatomically constructed with elongated fingers, gathered leather and curved seam lines that follow the natural contours of the hand. The unusual conjoined-finger arrangement disrupts the conventional five-finger glove pattern, transforming a functional accessory into an experimental study of the hand’s anatomy. Extended cuffs and the distressed, uneven coloration further emphasise Poell’s distinctive approach to leather treatment and bodily form.
