Vintage Kansai Yamamoto Crossbody Bag Late 1990s Black
A rectangular black faux leather bag set with a brushed silver-tone plaque, the KANSAI YAMAMOTO logo stamped in clean sans-serif capitals over a smaller 'YAMAMOTO' — at once graphic and subtle. The exterior keeps to a minimalist line, the surface broken only by the glint of unbranded silver-tone hardware and a plain zipper pull. Designed to be worn crossbody or on the shoulder via its adjustable strap, equally at home on any wardrobe. Logo and material place this bag in the late 1990s–early 2000s, a period when Kansai Yamamoto's diffusion lines translated Tokyo’s sharp minimalism into practical everyday forms. The metal logo plaque on the front is a quiet nod to the house's boundary-pushing legacy — the same mind that dressed Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust era, distilled here to a more restrained register. Inside, a black fabric lining holds one zip and one slip pocket for essentials. Condition is very good, with only minor surface scratches to the faux leather. No accessories accompany this piece. Made in Japan. Era: Late 1990s–Early 2000s (visual dating; logo style and materials) Condition: Very Good — minor scratches on the surface Material: Black faux leather with silver-tone hardware Colour: Black faux leather exterior, silver-tone hardware and logo plaque, black fabric lining Dimensions: W 22.5 × H 23.5 × D 7.5 cm Made in: Japan
