Vintage Versace Maxi Dress Black L
Studio lights low, the black fabric falls in a measured sweep from shoulder to hem — a full-length maxi dress, cut with Versace’s precise eye for drama in restraint. The dress is tailored in a cotton-blend knit with a subtle sheen, lined in black for fluid movement, and finished with a silver-tone zipper running up the left side seam. The zipper pull is detailed with a black Medusa head, the only outward nod to the house’s signature iconography; no further logos or labels are visible. The construction is lean and elongating, with a sleeveless silhouette and gently contoured seams through the chest and waist. The interior is clean, finished with a single black fabric compartment, and all fastenings secure. Light pilling is present on close inspection, but no visible wear interrupts the surface. Dating for this piece remains open — the absence of a visible label and the unadorned design position it within Versace’s broad ready-to-wear offering, rather than a specific line or era. The mannequin normally wears a size M. Era: 2000s (visual dating; launch year undocumented) Condition: Very Good — light pilling, no visible wear Material: Cotton blend with black fabric lining, silver-tone hardware Colour: Black exterior with black lining, silver-tone side zip with black Medusa-head pull Measurements: Total length 79.5 cm, shoulder width 30.5 cm, chest 42 cm Size: 40 (L) Made in: Italy
