This pair of jeans come from a defunct fashion label, earlier this year Y/project announced there untimely closure after 14 years of uncompromisingly whacky and whimsical designs that changed how fashion would function forever, they closed there doors for one last time leaving behind nothing but legacy, the beginnings humble and the ends of tragedy y/project was founded in Paris by Yohan Serfaty and Gilles Elalouf in 2010 where they worked on the brand for 3 years before handing the rains over to Glenn Martens in 2013 after the co-founder Serfaty sadly passed of cancer. In June 2024, Elalouf also left this planet following a long-term illness and out of pure respect Gilles Elalouf refused to continue this journey without the original 2 creators so the book was shut, through this 14 years of operation sheer the amount of grails and utterly insane creations that came from this lable is insane, these jeans are potentially my favourite to coming from the evergreen collection this season was heavily lead by sustainable alternatives (these jeans being made from 100% organic cotton denim) retailing for over $480 for this high price tag you get a extremely unique fit that come from the removable wire strips that run down the front of each leg, making them a versatile pair of baggy, loose fitting casual jeans or add the wire n crate your perfect silhouette or go crazy in true Y/project spirit, the perfect statement piece or a easy everyday pair of jeans the choice is yours - no flaws -
