2004 AZZEDINE ALAIA edition red Grecian 'Goddess' dress
Red Azzedine Alaia “Goddess” dress, 2004 edition, in semi-sheer cupro. The dress has a deep V neckline with wide gathered straps and an open back. The waist is defined by a wide elasticated section, with three narrow elasticated bands running horizontally around the sides and back, creating an open cutout. The bands give the waist structure while allowing it to stretch and fit closely to the body. The cupro is gathered throughout the bodice and full, short skirt, giving the fabric considerable volume while two thigh slits give it movement. Although semi-sheer, the amount of fabric and gathering keeps it from being see-through. An internal bodysuit with snap-button closures is built into the dress for coverage. Labeled a size 40 (fits small). Approximate measurements (unstretched): bust 30", waist 25" and length 33". Best fits a French 36 or slim 38. Fabric composition: 100% cupro. Made in Italy. Hooks, hidden snaps and hidden zipper at back. Good condition. Color was difficult to accurately photograph. It is a true red.
